■20210108（金曜日：晴れ）　Attack on Democracy

■今朝は走りました。昨日に引き続いてのランニングでしたが、今朝は無事に予定通りの時間を走ることができました。昨日一日強風が吹き荒れ、北陸・東北地方を中心に 豪雪に見舞われたようです。

ロータリークラブも昨日が新年初めての例会でしたが、夜になって連絡があり、今月はコロナウイルス感染対策のために、例会は全て休会になった、という連絡ありました。

会員数の多いクラブは例会が密になりやすいということもあり、1月からずっと休会を続けているクラブもあるようです。

私どものクラブでは二ヶ月に1度テーブルの座席が変更になり、そのたびにテーブル会と称して皆さんで懇親会を行なっていました。現在の状況では、こうしたことはできませんので、コミニュケーションを取る機会がほとんどなくなってしまい、例会中食事を取りながら交わす会話だけでは、本当に味気ないクラブ生活になっているのが現状です。

■さて、今朝は今月4回目のランで7.48 km を走り、28.45 km を積み重ねました。月100 km 走まで残り23日で71.54 km となりました。一応目標ライン8日目としては合格です。

帰ってきて温かいシャワーを浴びようと蛇口をひねったのですが、どうやら水道管が凍ってしまったようです。蛇口から出る水の流れが止まってしまいました。本当にちょろちょろと流れてきますので、完全に凍ってしまったわけでもないようですが、お湯が出てくるまで待っている間に風邪を引いてしまいそしたので、諦めて体を拭くだけに止めました。

50分近く走っていましたので、体の体温は十分上がっていますので、しばらくは寒さを感じません。しかし朝食を作りながら、そして食べ始める頃になって、次第に寒さを感じるようになってきました。水道管が凍ったのは、この冬初めてです。

■さて今この作業をしているのは、元 Windows パソコンでしたがKona　Linux をインストールして使用しています。安定していますし動作も機敏だからです。

このパソコンで青空文庫に収納してある著作権の切れた名作を読めないかと調べてみると、Linux用のaozora というアプリがありました。このアプリで文字を大きめにして太宰治の作品や山本周五郎の作品を楽しみ始めました。

Amazon の Fire タブレットで読むのが大きさ的には楽なのですが、残念ながら Android 系であるにも関わらず、 Amazon はこのアプリのインストールをできないようにしているようです。

誰でもが無料で楽しめるはずの青空文庫の収納作品も Amazon は有料で販売しています。ボランティアの皆さんの意思をある意味では無視する形で営業活動をしているわけです。

税金をほとんど払っていないとか、労働環境がブラックだとか、 Amazon に関してはいくつもの疑問点が指摘されています。

幸い昨年も雪が降ることはありませんでしたので、寒さの中でも大勢の人たちと一緒に楽しく観戦することができました。小涌園前から芦ノ湖方面に少し道路を上って観戦すると、二日目には遥か彼方から一直線に下ってくる選手たちを見ることができました。

先ほど出発前の大手町の様子をテレビで見ると、観客はほとんどいない状態でした。これだけステイホームを東京都知事をはじめ政府関係者が叫んでいる中で行われる箱根駅伝ですから、万が一にも感染が広がるようなことがあっては取り返しがつきません。

東京マラソンも秋まで延期されましたし、本来でしたら箱根駅伝も中止にするのが本当だと思います。ただ日本テレビの都合が一番の大きな要因なのではないでしょうか。オリンピックを是が非でも開催するという読売新聞の意向などを考えると、口ではステイホームと言いながらも営業第一というのが見え見えなのは本当に困ったものです。それが今の日本の現状なのです。

無難ではあるかもしれませんが、大ベテランが若手の通り道を塞いでしまうような状況は、ひょっとすると今の日本の社会の象徴かもしれません。日本企業衰退の日本の縮図のようにも思えたほどです。

■1月1日の午前中、つまり元旦は、ニューイヤー実業団駅伝の観戦です。群馬県で行われる恒例の駅伝ですが、Takuが住むようになってからはより身近に感じられるようになりました。

■残すところ二日となりました。昨日の午前中で仕事納めとなり、書き残してあった年賀状を仕上げました。1年間無事に仕事を終えることができたことを本当にありがたく思いました。

私の所もご多分に漏れず3割ほど前年に比べて減少したようです。子育ても終わり、また幸い大きな設備投資などをしていなかったこともあり、従業員の給料が賄えて、その上老夫婦二人が暮らしていければなんとかなる状況でしたので、休業補償などを受けることはありませんでした。

しかし小児科などでは影響は甚大だったようです。コロナ対策に汲々としている状況では、インフルエンザがほとんど発生することもありませんでした。小児科では毎年冬になると感染症の患者さんが大挙して押しかけます。今年はそれが全く無かったわけですから、経営的には大打撃です。

そもそも少子化が進み、2019年の出生数は86万人に減少しそうだという報道もなされています。ネットによれば、

■今日は大の仲良し長倉さんと今年最後のゴルフを楽しみました。前半は雨の中のプレーでしたが、後半は一転して青空の空模様でした。とにもかくにも気温が高かったので寒さに震える事はありませんでした。

後半のスタートが10時半過ぎということで、前半が終わった後の食事はモーニング定食でした。結局1時頃には無事終えることができました。雨の中のプレーは集中力が欠けて駄目でした。後半は少しずつ改善し、フェアウェイをキープすることで大叩きすることがなくなりました。来年に向けて明るい材料を持って帰ることができました。

2時過ぎに帰ってくるとすっかり空は青空で、風が次第に強まり、吹き荒れるといった様相になりました。

残りの年賀状を出しに郵便局に行き、帰り道にワークマンプラスに立ち寄りました。今話題のお店です。昔はワークマンといえば作業用の衣料品というイメージでしたが、今では若い女性もたくさん訪れる、そんなお店に変身しています。

30分ほど店の中を見て回りましたが、様々な防寒衣料品が所狭しと並べられていました。一昔はユニクロのフリースが大人気となり大ヒット商品となりましたが、ワークマンのフリースも人気商品のようです。試しに一枚買って帰ってきました。衣料品の性能も昔と比べるとずっと向上し、 デザインもなかなか凝っていますので、安かろう悪かろうという製品はどこにも見られません。

衣料品を作る製造機械がデジタル化され、世界中どこで製造しても品質が確保される時代になりました。 手仕事の優位性が次第に減少しています。今後どの分野においても、デジタル化はますます進み、社会は大きな変革を遂げるに違いありません。
