■今朝は走りました。これで今月は10回のランで64.87kmを積み重ね、残り8日で36.12kmのところまで来ました。明日の日曜日に、なんとか15キロ以上を走って目標を達成できる地点にまで到達したい、と願っていますが、とにかく今日は疲れを取ることだけを考えなければいけません。
昨日は使っていなかったパソコンに、パソコン基本ソフトであるリナックスの1種である Netrunner という基本ソフトを導入しました。YouTubeで何気なく見ていて、とても使いやすそうでしたので思い切って試してみました。導入もスムーズに行き使い始めたのですが、これが結構楽しいのです。
もちろんChromebookのように、今まで通りに全て出来るわけではないのですが、遊び心がふんだんに盛り込まれていて、使っていてもワクワクするのです。
linuxのディストリビューションは、ほとんど無数と言っていいほど世界中にあるのですが、プログラムの核となるカーネルと言われる部分は、バラバラにならないように一括して管理されています。それを使ってどのようなパッケージを作るかは、誰でも自由にできるような仕組みになっています。
したがって、エンジンは同じものを積んでいても、F1の車のようなものから軽乗用車のようなものまで、その人の使い道に合わせて好きなパッケージを作ることができるのです。本当に素晴らしいことだと思います。
昨日から使い始めた、このネットランナーも非力なパソコンでもできるだけ軽快な動作で動くように、という目的で作られていますので、ウインドウズを使うには、もたもたしてとても使えないような古いパソコンでも結構ストレスなく使うことができるのです。本当にワクワクします。
■さて今朝の東京新聞読者欄には、読者からの素朴な疑問が述べられています。
『マスクの検品 なぜ税金使う』です。
400億円以上を投じたアベノマスクの検品作業に、さらに8億円もの税金を厚生労働省は使っているのです。投稿者は、例えば乗用車なら欠陥が見つかれば、車のメーカーがリコールして修理費用を負担するのが当たり前ではないか、と問いかけています。まことに、そのとおりです。
アベノマスクと言われる所以は、かなりの経費が、安倍さんのお友達に行き渡るように、たぶん最初から決められているから、そう呼ばれるのかもしれません。
過去最大級の補正予算と、見かけだけは華々しいのですが、中身はハリボテのごとくスカスカの状態。一部の広告代理店に丸投げしそうな観光キャンペーンに、一兆円以上の予算を、なぜ今、この時期に組まなければいけないのか、どう考えても辻褄が合いません。
クール・ジャパンなるキャンペーンも、今になって考えてみれば、予算がどこへ流れたのか、本当に怪しいことばかりです。
I ran this morning. I have accumulated 64.87km this month in 10 runs and am now 36.12km away from reaching 100km with 8 days left. I installed Netrunner, one of the basic computer software called Linux, on my computer yesterday, which I hadn’t used before. The introduction went smoothly and I started using it, which is quite fun.
Of course, like a Chromebook, it is not possible to do everything with this personal computer as before, but there is a lot of playfulness built in, and it is exciting to use.
There are almost countless distributions of linux throughout the world, but the kernel, which is the core of the program, is managed in one place to prevent it from falling apart. The system is designed so that anyone can use it to create any kind of package they want.
Therefore, even if the engine is loaded with the same thing, it is possible to create a package that suits a person’s needs, from a Formula 1 car to a mini-car. I think it’s really great.
This netrunner, which I started using yesterday, is also designed to work as lightly as possible even on a non-powerful computer. It is possible to use netrunner without any stress, even on old computers that are too slow to use Windows. It’s really exciting.
In this morning’s Tokyo Shimbun readers’ column, a simple question from a reader was expressed.

Looking back on the Cool Japan campaign now, it’s really questionable where the budget went.
