■今朝はゆっくりと休みました。昨日頑張って走りましたので今日は休養日です。
さて注文してあった中華タブレットが昨日届きました。 1月17日に注文したのですが出荷されたのが2月9日でした。そして昨日、我が家に到着しました。 「Alldocube iPlay 40 UNISOC T618 Octa Core 8GB RAM 128GB ROM 4G LTE 10.4 Inch 2K Screen Android 10 Tablet」です。
2万円強で手に入るタブレットなのですが、とても人気が高く日本からの注文も多くあったようです。注文したBanggood社から途中連絡が入り、 注文が多くて生産が間に合わないので、もう少し待ってほしいというメールが来ました。
iPad に代表されるタブレットなのですが、とにかく進歩しました。さすがに私は初代の iPad は保有していませんが、結婚 30 周年を記念して iPad を買いました。2012年でした。あれは 3 代目の iPad になるのでしょうか。
今でも充分使うことができます。retina ディスプレイと呼ばれる画面が美しいのが、さすがアップルです。多少動作がもたついても、動画を処理するとか、ゲームに熱中するとか、 そうした作業をしない限りは不便を感じることもありません。
綺麗な写真がたくさん掲載されている本、例えばファーブル昆虫記などを PDF 化してタブレットで読んでいるのですが、 iPad の美しい画面で見ると読書が一段と楽しくなります。
今回購入したタブレットは、さすがに4Kとはいきませんが、2Kと呼ばれる程度の画面の美しさはあるようです。簡単に言えば、とにかくコストパフォーマンスが素晴らしいのです。メールのやり取りをする、 YouTube を楽しむ、カラー本を含めて読書を楽しむ、ネットで検索をする、などなど私が日常で行う作業は、充分きびきびと処理してくれます。
昨夜はいつもの Kindle ではなく、このタブレットに Kindle アプリを入れて「強い風が吹いている」を読み進めました。このタブレットの優れた点の一つは読書用の表示形式、つまりそれを選ぶと白黒版に画面が変化する、というものがあります。
Kindle は eInkと呼ばれる、液晶ではない表示様式ですので、カラー版の本は読めないのですが、液晶と違い目に優しく印刷本と全く変わることなく読書することができます。
昨夜はこのタブレットの読書用表示形式で読んでみたのですが、とても目に優しく楽でした。
そして iPad から9年程経過して一番感じるのは、このタブレットの軽さです。475 グラムです。第3世代の iPad は662グラムとありますから、持ち運ぶにはその違いは大きいのです。
値段もiPad は、このタブレットの3倍以上しました。部品が軽量化され本当に軽くなって、どこへでも気軽に持っていくことができるのです。 こうした軽薄短小化というのは日本企業の得意技だったと思うのですが、残念ながら今では中国製品には全く歯が立ちません。
少し前には中華パッド、あるいは中華スマホは安いが出来の悪い商品の代名詞のように言われましたが、今では状況は一変しています。本当に世の中の流れは変わってしまいました。

I think that such lightness, thinness, shortness and miniaturization was a specialty of Japanese companies, but unfortunately, it is no longer superior to Chinese products.
