■20200630（火曜日：曇）　A secluded life

■今朝もゆっくりと休みました。土曜日に走って月100キロ走の目標をすでに達成してありましたので、3日間休養を取って7月1日からまた積み重ねを始めるつもりです。梅雨の真っ最中ですので、いつも走っている朝5時半からの一時間の間、雨が降るかどうか心配する毎日です。

今日で1年の半分が終わります。2020年は予定ではオリンピックもあり華やかな一年になる予定でしたがコロナウイルスの蔓延で様変わりとなってしまいました。我が家にとっては一月に待望の初孫が産まれましたので喜びいっぱいの年なのですが、自然災害だけは避けようがありません。

しかも新型コロナウイルスがこれまでの災害と異なるのは、高度に進展したグローバリゼーションの下での世界規模の感染爆発だったという点です。経済活動が寸断され大きな被害を受けています。観光あるいは航空業界がその典型です。

オリンピックで世界中を飛行機が飛び回り、人が移動すると思われていたその矢先に世界的大流行があり、人の往来がパタリと止まってしまいました。これまでのようにグローバリゼーションを進めることは明らかに不可能となりました。

これまでとは異なる経済活動あるいは生活様式といったものが求められることになります。そのときに私たちの社会、そして生活がどのようなものになるのか、今はまだ想像の段階です。歴史的に見ても大きな分岐点となる2020年の後半に、明日から突入です。

■さて、今朝の東京新聞には東京都知事選挙世論調査の詳報と題して世論調査の結果が報告されています。これによれば、小池都政の4年間について評価する22.8パーセント、どちらかといえば評価する57.8パーセントを合わせた回答は80.6パーセントに上っているということです。この結果には大変驚きました。

しかし、理解できない訳ではありません。なぜならば、ではこの4年間あるいはコロナウイルスが蔓延して後、どうすればよかったのかと考えると、良い対案が私には思い浮かばなかったからです。

ところが立候補した山本太郎れいわ新撰組代表の演説を聞いていると考え方が大いに変わります。つまり他に取るべき手段があったということに気づくのです。

例えば、なぜコロナウイルスを自然災害に指定しなかったのかということを山本太郎代表は問題にします。つまり、政府に指定を迫り、それが可能になれば多くの国民あるいは都民が生活を破壊されずに済んだかもしれないのです。

ところが、私たちにはそうした手段があることは知らされませんでした。小池都知事が何をなすべきだったのかという点において、情報が少ないために、きちんと評価がなされていないという点がとても大切だと感じました。

要するに小池都政を評価する人々の中には、もちろん積極的に評価される方もいるのでしょうが、ただ何となくという有権者も多いのです。

結局のところ小池都知事は4年間ほとんど何の実績もないことは、ご自身の現在行っている選挙活動を見れば明らかです。現職なのですから4年間の実績を訴えるのが本来の姿なのでしょうが、小池都知事はまるで隠遁生活に入ったような選挙活動を行っています。

候補者同士の討論会もほとんど行われません。何が問題なのか明らかになることなく投票日を迎えそうな様相です。これでは都政がより良い方向へ向かうはずがありません。

はぐらかして時の過ぎるのを待つという手法は、まさに国政と瓜二つです。安倍首相と小池都知事は、政治的手法という点では、まさに一卵性双生児に相違ありません。

A secluded life

■今朝は久々ぶりの青空の朝です。6時まで、ゆっくりと休みました。昨日は雨と霧の中、新沼津カントリークラブの競技委員として、一日お手伝いをさせていただきました。

仲間の皆さんと活動をしながら様々なお話を聞かせていただくのは、とても楽しいひとときです。昨日ご一緒した森さんは、お勤めの関係で北海道と博多に勤務されていたことがありました。私も北海道大好き人間ですし、九州にも何度かSunと二人で出掛けました。

博多の屋台は有名ですが観光客相手にはあまり評判が良くないようです。観光客とみると地元の人たちよりも、請求が高額になってしまうこともあるようです。私も訪れた時に、正直そう感じました。森さんの話を聞いていて、なるほどそうだなと納得していました。

話している言葉を聞けば、地元の人か観光客かは、店の人にはすぐわかります。でも、そんなことを続けていたら商売は長続きしないような気がするのですが、どうなのでしょうか。

■さて、今朝の東京新聞には「今週のことば」としてNPO法人・くだかけ会代表　和田重良さんが、この言葉を挙げておられます。

『蛾と蝶と　並びて蜜を　吸うており　曳地トシ』

蛾と蝶が並んで蜜を吸っている光景は、とても平和で楽しくて明るい感じがします。仲良く生きるのが何より平和なのです。

世の中には様々な特徴を持った人達がいます。気の強そうな人や力の弱そうな人。優しそうな人も意地悪そうな人もいます。金持ちも貧乏人もそのことで人の価値を分類することはできません。

みな一生懸命に生きようとしているからです。交ざり合って助け合っている方が平和で楽しいのです。

■まことに、そのとおりです。同じような外見の人々が整然と行動する様子は、軍隊の行進だけで充分です。

それぞれの人が持っている、その人らしさがのびのび発揮できる社会を作っていかなければなりません。

■今日は一日雨模様の天候でした。第50回新沼津カントリークラブ理事長杯の1・2回戦が行われました。私は競技委員としてお手伝いをしました。朝から雨が降り続き、いったん始まった戦いも雨が強まり、途中休憩を挟むことになりました。

11時過ぎから再開された1回戦が終わり、16人に絞られた選手達が全員2回戦のティーショットを終えたのは15時を回っていました。本当に長い一日でした。昨年も霧に包まれた戦いでしたが、雨がこれほど降りませんでしたので、今日のように日程をこなすのに日没順延を気にかけなければいけないほどではありませんでした。

予定がぎっしりと詰まっていますので、今日中に一・二回戦を終了させないと、後々クラブ運営に支障が出ます。何とかギリギリ間に合って私たち競技委員そしてクラブの幹部の皆さんも、ほっとした一日でした。

■千葉で開催されている女子ゴルフの開幕戦も、今日が最終ラウンドでしたが雨のため 29 日に順延されました。こちらよりも雨足が強かったのかもしれません。グリーンが雨水で使用困難になったのでしょうか。

一方男子ゴルフは未だに開幕戦を開催できません。選手の皆さんは本当に大変だと思います。生活がかかっている訳ですから、何とか開催できるようにゴルフ協会の会長をはじめ、幹部の皆さんが力を合わせて実現してほしいものです。

アメリカでもコロナウイルスが蔓延する中、再開にこぎつけましたので、日本でもできない訳ではありません。

■さて、先週購入した赤川次郎さんの「幽霊列車kindle版」を昨夜読み終えました。赤川次郎さんはベストセラー作家として有名です。私は彼の本を読んだことがありませんでしたが、今回初めてKindleで読むことができました。

上記の作品はとても読みやすく、また内容も面白く、最後まで飽きることがありませんでした。今、次の作品を読んでいるところです。主人公の警部と推理マニアの女子大生のコンビはなかなか魅力的で、掛け合いを読んでいるだけでも飽きることがありません。

今夜も次の作品を読み続けるのが楽しみです。

■20200626（金曜日：曇り）　The principle of neighbors

■今朝は走りました。どんよりとした雨雲が空を覆う中、昨夜はぐっすりと眠れたようで、目覚まし時計より早く4時40分頃目が覚め起き出しました。生ごみの日でしたので所定の場所に運び、準備運動の後スタートしました。

帰ってきてランニング・ウォッチをエプソンのホームページに繋ぐと、まずお祝いの言葉が画面に登場しました。「総走行距離7000kmを達成しました」。エプソンのランニングウォッチで記録を取り始めてから通算7000キロを走ったということです。

今朝はいつものコースを少し余分に走り、6.80kmを積み重ね、今月は16回のランで92.11kmまでになりました。残り4日で月100キロ走まで7.88kmを残しています。

月の終わりには休養をとって月初の日に少し長めの積み重ねをしようと常々思っていますので、来週は休息を取る予定です。ただ、その前に8キロを走る必要がありますので、となると残された日は土曜日しかありません。

日曜日は新沼津カントリークラブの理事長杯、一・二回戦が行われ、競技委員としてお手伝いしなければならないからです。

さて今日は走っていて思いもかけないことに遭遇しました。なんとハチに左耳の後ろを刺されてしまったのです。走っていてブーンという音が聞こえ、何か飛んできたので手で払おうとしましたが時すでに遅く刺されてしまいました。結構痛いのです。

帰ってきて東京新聞を読んでいると、作業中に蜂に刺されアナフィラキシーショックで亡くなった方がいるという記事があり驚きました。小山町のトンネル付近で草刈り作業をしていた会社員の方が、左腕一箇所を蜂に刺され搬送先の病院で死亡が確認されたという記事です。死因は急性アレルギー反応を起こすアナフィラキシー・ショックとみられています。

御殿場署が労災事故として調べているそうです。体質といえば体質ですが、誰でもこのような反応を起こす可能性はある訳です。幸い今のところを私は特に強い反応が起きていませんが、氷で冷やしてステロイド軟膏を塗って様子を見ています。何にしてもハチに刺されると、こんなに痛いとは知りませんでした。

今朝のランでは5キロ過ぎまでは、いつものごとく体も重く足取りも鈍かったのですが、地面をしっかり蹴ろうと意識し、いつもよりも強い気持ちで走り続けたところ最後の一キロ程は、平均ペースとしてキロ6分を切って走ることが出来ました。通算では6.81キロを走って平均ペースはキロ6分29秒ですから私としては悪くありません。簡単に言えば走るための筋力が衰えてるということなのでしょう。筋トレが必要なようです。

■さて、今朝の東京新聞「論壇・時評」で、東京工業大学教授の中島岳志先生が「ポストコロナ　地産地消で」と題して書かれています。副題は、ガンディーの「隣人の原理」です。

インド独立の父として知られるマハトマ・ガンディーは、鉄道の存在を批判しました。鉄道で邪悪が広がります、と言っているのです。この言葉の真意がコロナ禍で腑に落ちたと、中島先生は書かれています。

ガンディーは近代のスピードに懐疑的でした。人々はゆっくり歩くことを忘れ、早く遠くへ行くことに価値を見出しました。その結果、農家は高く売れる所に穀物を売るようになり飢餓が発生し、人の移動とともに感染症があっという間に拡大するようになったのです。

ガンディーは「よいものはカタツムリのように進むのです」と言いました。ガンディーは「隣人の原理」を説き、近くにいる人との支え合いを重視し、地産地消を推進しました。

極端なグローバリズムの結果、コロナウイルスが世界中に急激に拡大しました。大規模な工場を誘致しても、その利益は一部の人に還元されるだけで、労働者の主体性や地域の自立性が失われます。

「それよりも、近所の人が作った農産物を食べ、近所の人が作った服を着て、近所の人が建てた家に住む」方が「地域に雇用が生まれ、経済が回りだす」のではないか、と経済評論家の森永卓郎さんは書かれています。

森永さんが提唱するのが、ガンディーの経済学に基づく小規模分散型の経済の拡大です。格差拡大を是正し、地球環境の破壊を阻止する。グローバル資本主義を見直す。これがポストコロナの世界モデルだと主張しています。

今、世界は大きな曲がり角に来ているに違いありません、ポストコロナの価値観は新自由主義の是正でなくてはなりません。「隣人の原理」から新たなビジョンを模索すべきである、と中島先生は最後に書かれています。

■今朝はゆっくりと休みました。天気予報では今朝は雨となっていましたので、最初から走る気がありませんでした。6時に目覚ましをかけてありましたが、やはり体が覚えてしまっているのか5時には目が覚めましたが、そのまま6時までまたゆっくりとまどろんでいました。

今日は25日です。勤務していた頃には25日は給料日で待ち遠しい日でしたが、独立事業主になってからは全く関係のない日になってしまいました。むしろ従業員に給料を払わなければなりませんので、自営業の方にとっては頭の痛い日なのかもしれません。

コロナ禍で営業自粛を強いられ、日銭が入ってこない状態になると、様々な支払いのための資金繰りに自営業者が日々苦しんでいることは想像できます。国や地方自治体が大胆に支援の手を差し伸べるべき時に違いありません。個人の努力だけではどうにもならない災害なのです。

■さて今朝の東京新聞21面は「編集局　南端日誌」、話題作「女帝」を読んで、と題して書かれています、東京新聞特報部長・田原牧さんが、ご自分の経験を交えて書かれています。ご自身が四半世紀前にカイロ・アメリカン大学付属のアラビア語学校に留学した時の経験です。

でも未知の世界を切り開いていく外国語習得という修行には、俗な欲得を凌駕する魅力がある。

生き方の違い。それがこの問題について、カイロで真剣に学んだ人達が多くを語らない根本の理由であるように感じる。

人の生き方は十人十色です。嘘で固めた土台からはじめ、人を利用することばかり考えながら生きてきた人生。そんな人が最後の時を迎えた時に、脳裏に浮かぶのは果たしてどんな思いなのでしょうか。

■今朝は走りました。いつものコースを6.08km走り、これで今月は14回のランで85.30kmを記録しました。残り6日で月100キロ走まで14.69kmを残しています。

天気予報では明日の朝は雨です。梅雨の合間にしっかり走っておかないと目標の達成は困難です。なんとか目標に届きそうですので一安心しています。でも、まだまだ気を抜くことができません。

今朝は5時前に目が覚めて、そのまま起き出してビニールゴミを所定の位置に置き、準備運動の後走り始めました。朝から日差しも強く、走っている時は朝日がとても眩しく感じました。

■さて、ここ数日、寝る前にはKindleでヘミングウェイの「老人と海」の原文を読んでいます。高校時代から何度も何度も挑戦してきたのですが、その度に挫折を繰り返してきた本です。

4月26日から、このブログもGoogle翻訳や DeepL のウェブサイトを利用して英語版を作り始めました。いわゆる人工知能を用いた翻訳サービスです。こうした作業を毎日繰り返すようになって新たな発見がありました。

日本語で書いた文章を英語に翻訳してもらう場合、なかなか思ったような翻訳が出てきません。最初は人工知能もまだまだ大したことないと考えていたのですが、その後気づいたのは、大したことがないのは人工知能ではなくて自分の日本語の文章だったということです。

つまり、自分の書いた日本語の文章自体が実はとても曖昧で、自分以外の人が読んでも正しく解釈することが難しい箇所が何箇所も含まれているのだということに気づきました。我ながら、これはとても大きな発見でした。

自分の書いた文章の意図するところは書いた本人には分かっているのですが、その意図した内容が文章の上で正しく表現されているかというと、そんなことはありません。私たちが書く文章というのは、文学作品ではありませんので、とにかくわかりやすいこと間違いのないこと、それが一番大切です。

人工知能によって翻訳された英語と原文である日本語を見比べながら、手を加えなければいけないのは日本語の方なのです。文章はなるべく短くする、主語述語はなるべく近づける、主語をはっきりと明示する、などなどちょっとしたことですが、そうした工夫をすることで翻訳精度は確実に向上します。

逆に言えば、きちんとした翻訳文章が出てくるような日本語を書くことが、分かりやすい日本語を書くための一番の近道かもしれません。これは私にとっては大きな発見でした。

■さて、今年の夏至は6月21日日曜日でした。つまりその日は北半球において1年のうちで最も昼の時間（日の出から日没までの時間）が長くなるため、1年で最も日が長いとしておなじみです。正午ごろに太陽がほぼ真上を通るため大変短い影を見て夏至を実感する方も多いはずです。

22日からは毎日、毎日昼間の時間が短くなって、1日1日と冬が近づいてくるとも言えます。本格的な夏はこれからなのですから自然とは不思議なものです。

Summer solstice

■ By the way, I have been reading the original text of Hemingway’s “The Old Man and the Sea” on my Kindle before going to bed for the past few days. I’ve been trying this over and over again since high school, and each time, I’ve had a setback.

From April 26th, this blog also started making English version using Google Translate and DeepL website. This is a translation service that uses so-called artificial intelligence. I was able to repeat these tasks every day and made new discoveries.

When you translate a sentence written in Japanese into English on the site, it does not come out as expected. At first, I thought that artificial intelligence wasn’t a big deal, but then I realized that what wasn’t a big deal was my own Japanese sentences, not artificial intelligence.

In other words, I realized that the Japanese sentences I wrote were very ambiguous, and they contained many parts that were difficult for others to read correctly. To me, this was a huge discovery.

Although the person who wrote the text knows what he intended in the text he wrote, it does not necessarily mean that the intended content is correctly expressed in the text. The texts we write are not literary works, so the most important thing is that they are easy to understand and correct.

It is Japanese that needs to be corrected while comparing English translated by artificial intelligence and the original Japanese. There are a few things like making sentences as short as possible, making the subject and predicate as close as possible, and clearly specifying the subject, etc., but by doing so, translation accuracy will definitely improve.

Writing the Japanese language that produces a proper translated text is the most convenient way to write Japanese that is easy to understand. This was a big discovery for me.

By making the English version of the blog, the ability to read “The Old Man and the Sea” has also improved dramatically.

■ By the way, the summer solstice this year was Sunday, June 21st. In other words, the day is the longest day of the year (the time from sunrise to sunset) in the Northern Hemisphere, so it is familiar as the longest day of the year. Around noon, many people feel the summer solstice by seeing a very short shadow because the sun almost passes directly above.

It can be said that the daytime will be shortened every day starting from the 22nd, and winter will be approaching day by day. It’s strange because the full-scale summer has just begun.

■今朝は走りました。目覚ましの鳴る5時少し前に目が覚めましたが、そのまま起き出して生ごみを所定の位置まで運び、準備運動ののち走り始めました。今朝はいつものコースを6.05km走り、これで今月は14回のランで79.22kmを積み重ねました。残り7日で月100キロ走まで20.77kmとなりました。

走り始めてしばらくして小雨が降り始めました。根方街道へ向かう道の途中でしたが、根方街道沿いは地理の関係で雨が降りやすい場所なのです。家の周りでは降っていなくても根方街道沿いに行くと雨が降っていることはよくあります。雨雲が通りやすいのでしょうか。

走り続けるかどうか迷ったのですが、多分酷くなることはないだろうと考え走り続けました。結局そのまま小雨がパラつきましたけれども問題なく走り終えることができました。

それにしても、今日も体が重くて辛い6キロでした。昨日は雨の為に走りませんでしたし、日曜日も走りませんでしたので、3日ぶりということですが、もう少しスムーズに気持ちよく走れると良いのですが、そうはいかない現実があります。とにかく付き合うしかありませんので、ゆっくりで良いから続けるしかありません。

■さて東京都知事選挙も選挙運動が本格的にスタートしました。小池都知事はオンライン選挙のモデルケースと称し、街頭に出ることもなく、ひたすら動画で実績を自画自賛しているようです。

前回の4年前の選挙の時には、演出されたメディア受けする運動に終始した小池さんが、今回はまるで雲隠れしたような状態です。話題のベストセラーが影響していることは間違いありません。学歴詐称疑惑問題をはじめ、これまでの彼女の生き方があからさまになったことで、小池百合子という人間の生き方そのものが問われているのです。

したがって人前に登場すれば質問に答えなければなりません。自画自賛の動画を一方的に流しておけば、痛い質問も受ける必要がないのです。しかし4年に1度の大切な選挙において、こんな作戦が許されるのでしょうか。都民は一体何を参考に候補者を選べば良いのでしょうか。

私達は7年以上にわたって安倍晋三という政治家の政治演劇とでもいうべき舞台を否応なく見せられてきたのです。世の中は良くなるのではないかという漠然とした期待だけを抱いて日々を送ってきたのですが、コロナウイルス感染によって馬脚が露呈したというところです。

安倍首相はこの8年近い歳月の間、少しも変わったわけではないのです。同じことをずっとやり続けてきただけなのです。コロナウイルスが蔓延してから突如政治に対する姿勢が変わったわけでは決してありません。

終始一貫しているのです。終始一貫して事実を隠蔽し、公文書を改ざんし、税金を仲間内だけで横流しピンハネし、国民のことなどはあとの後回しだったのです。

小池都知事も実にその政治姿勢はよく似ています。瓜二つと言っても良いほどです。何か雰囲気、漠然とした空気を振りまいているだけなのです。実態はほとんど何もありません。嵐のようなもので、通り過ぎてみれば吹き飛ばされたゴミがあちこちに散らばっているだけの無残な現実が露（あらわ）になります。

毎度、毎度同じことを繰り返している訳ですから、どうして有権者はそのことに気づかないのかと不思議なのですが、大衆と呼ばれる有権者たちは同じ選択を繰り返してばかりなのです。そして、その度に国民は貧しく痛めつけられているのです。

しかし消費増税からコロナウイルス蔓延によって落ちるところまで落ちてしまった現状となって、ようやく有権者も気づき始めたのではないでしょうか。いい加減こんなインチキ政治ショーは止めるべきです。そうしないと本当に国がボロボロになってしまうからです。

決して難しい事をする必要があるわけではありません。オレオレ詐欺に騙されない程度の常識を取り戻せば良いのです。一体どれだけ騙されれば有権者は正気に戻るのでしょうか。

Sanity

■今朝はゆっくりと休みました。昨日は梅雨の合間で雨も降らず風も吹きましたので、曇りがちで爽やかな一日でした。

今朝の天気予報では午後から雨ということでしたので、朝は走るつもりでした。残念ながら雨の降り始める時間が少し早まったようです。準備をして玄関を出たところ小雨とはとても言えないほどの強さで雨が降っていました。せっかく準備をしたのですが、こればかりは致し方ありません。新聞を取ってきて朝食の準備を始めました。

■さて新聞を広げて紙面が明らかに変わったのに驚きました。文字の大きさが昨日までより大きく文字の間も広がって、とても読みやすくなったと感じたのです。第一面の記事はゲーム障害において未成年者の依存深刻というものと左半分には下田市長に新人松木氏が大差で現職破る、と書かれているのです。いつも読んでいる東京新聞で、なぜ下田市長選挙なのかと疑問に思ったのですが、その時は原因に気づきませんでした。

新聞を最後まで読んでみて理由はわかりました。新聞店が間違えて、東京新聞の代わりに静岡新聞を届けてくれたのです。取扱店はたくさんの種類の新聞を処理していますので、間違えて配達してしまったのでしょう。静岡に住んでいますので静岡新聞を読むことは、地元で何が問題になっているかを知るには最も良いのでしょうが、残念ながら私には少し地域性が強すぎる感じがします。

こうした地域の新聞のあり方が難しい時代です。アメリカでは地域の新聞が消失してしまった地域が、どんどん増えているそうです。その原因はネットの普及です。多くの人がネットでニュースを見て、それで良しとしてしまっています。

新聞をじっくり読むという習慣が消えつつあるのです。決して時間がないというわけではないのです。テレビを見ている時間は日本よりもアメリカの方がずっと多いそうですから、その時間の少しを新聞に割り当てれば良いのですが、残念ながら現代人は新聞よりはテレビになってしまいますし、それ以外の時間はネットで潰れてしまうようです。

しかしネット上に溢れるニュース記事というものは、新聞や雑誌が取材の上作られているものですから、ネットはある意味タダ乗りしている訳です。GoogleもYahooもニュース原稿に対する掲載料は支払っていないはずです。

それでは新聞社とか雑誌社は多額の経費を掛けて記事を作成しても元が取れません。いわゆるプラットホーマーと呼ばれる大手のIT企業には、何らかの形で税金をかけるべきだというのは正論です。

Local newspapers

■ I was surprised that the newspaper page was clearly changed. I felt that the size of the letters was larger than it was yesterday, and the gap between the letters was wider, making it much easier to read. The article on the front page says that the game dependence among minors is serious, and the left half says that the new candidate will break the current position by a large difference in the Shimoda mayoral election. I was wondering why the Shimoda mayoral election was in the Tokyo newspaper that I subscribe to, but at that time I didn’t notice the cause.

I read the newspaper all the way through and found out why. The newspaper store mistakenly delivered the Shizuoka newspaper instead of the Tokyo newspaper. The dealers handle so many types of newspapers that they may have delivered them by mistake. I live in Shizuoka, so reading the Shizuoka newspaper is probably the best way to find out what’s wrong with the locals, but unfortunately I feel a little too local.

It is a time when it is difficult to manage local newspapers. In the United States, the number of local newspapers that have disappeared is increasing. The cause is the spread of the internet. Many people watch the news online and do not read newspapers.

It seems that people spend much more time watching TV in the US than in Japan, so you can allocate a little of that time to the newspaper. Unfortunately, modern people prefer TV to newspapers, and at other times they enjoy the internet.

However, the news articles that overflow on the net are made by interviewing newspapers and magazines, so the net is in a sense free. Neither Google nor Yahoo should have paid for the news manuscript.

Then, newspaper publishers and magazine publishers will not make a profit even if they spend a lot of money to write articles. There is no doubt that large IT companies, so-called platformers, should somehow be taxed.

■今日は新沼津カントリークラブの理事長杯予選でした。何年ぶりかに出場しました。最近は練習の成果が出て、あまり大たたきはしなかったのですが、今日は2番ホールでOBを連発し沈没してしまいました。

良いショットもあったのですが、やはり大叩きをすると立ち直るのは難しいようです。ここ2年間は、いつも東京で会議がありますので、予選には出場できなかったんですが、今年はコロナウイルス蔓延のために会議が中止となり、予選に出場することができました。

せっかくの機会を生かすことができず大変残念でした。今日の経験を生かして次の大会に備えなければいけません。

■さて昨日から、ようやくプロ野球が開幕しました。まだ無観客での試合ですが、やはり例年行われているスポーツの試合がないと日常生活の彩りが、とても寂しくなってしまいます。仕事だけの毎日は、やはり寂しいものです。

文化や芸術は、それがなければ生活できないというわけではありませんが、こうしてコロナ禍の下、楽しむことができなくなってみると本当にその存在価値の大きさに気づくのです。やはり人はパンのみにて生きるにあらず、ということでしょうか。

ドイツをはじめヨーロッパ諸国では、文化芸術に対する社会の評価が日本とは明らかに違います。演奏家などに対する支援も日本とヨーロッパでは、まさに天と地ほど違うことが報道されています。

日本では、いわゆるフリーランスの演奏家は、あっという間に生活が行き詰まってしまうのですが、ヨーロッパではきちんと生活保障がなされています。

どうでもいいような施策に大きな金額の税金が投与され、しかもかなりの部分が電通やパソナにピンハネされてしまう日本の体制では、芸術にまでお金が回らないというのが実態なのでしょう。

独裁国家における縁故主義などを批判する報道が日本では散見されますが、とてもひとさまの国を批判することなど日本社会にはできないのです。ある意味日本はピンハネ国家に成り下がってしまったのです。

コロナウイルスの蔓延によって、そうした実態が明るみに出てきたのです。そうした意味だけで捉えれば、コロナウイルスも日本にとっては生まれ変わるための大事な機会を提供してくれたのです。

これを機会として日本社会をまともな国に変えることが大切なのです。
