■今日は1月最後の日。あっという間にひと月が過ぎ去ります。今日は一日穏やかな温かい日和でした。久しぶりに仲良し四人組でゴルフを楽しみました。大村さん、久松さん、植松さん、そして私です。本来ですと大村さんの会社の寮がある長岡で前夜祭をして、その翌日ゴルフを楽しむというのが恒例なのですが、いかんせんこのコロナ禍では自粛せざるを得ません。

ということで今日は、7時39分スタートという強行軍でしたが、天候に恵まれて本当に楽しい一日でした。

私自身は、先日購入した新しいクラブの筆下ろしということで、どうなることか心配だったのですか、杞憂でした。思ったよりも自分のスイングには合っているようです。４７，４８回の合計95回。自分としては上出来です。スイングの問題点が少し理解できたような気がしますので、次回に繋がる一日でした。

■Masatoも28日に初めての誕生日を無事に迎えることができて、ビデオを送ってきてくれました。その仕草、動作を見ているだけで、心が和んできます。本当に子どもの力は偉大です。

コロナが収束して、また普段どおりの生活が戻ってくれることを祈るばかりです。

The power of children

Today is the last day of January. A month goes by in no time. Today was a warm and sunny day. After a long time, I enjoyed playing golf with a good friend quartet. Mr. Omura, Mr. Hisamatsu, Mr. Uematsu, and myself. Originally, it is customary to have an eve in Nagaoka, where Mr. Omura’s dormitory is located, and enjoy golf the next day, but this time I have to refrain from playing golf.

Today was a forced march starting at 7:39, but the weather was nice and it was a really fun day.

I myself was worried about what would happen because of the new club I bought the other day. It seems to suit my swing better than I expected. The score is 47,48, totaling 95. I am good at it. I feel like I understood a little about the problems with the swing, so it was the next day to connect.

My grandson Masato was able to successfully celebrate his first birthday on the 28th, and Yuko-san sent me a video of Masato’s recent situation. Just looking at the gestures and movements will make us feel at ease. The power of children is really great.

I just hope that the corona will converge and that my normal life will return.
