■今朝はゆっくりと休みました。6時に目覚ましを合わせていましたが、そのままうとうとと眠り続けて、起きだしたのは8時前でした。こんなにゆっくり寝たのは本当に久しぶりです。
昨日は何年かぶりに紅白歌合戦を見ました。いつもはその時間帯は本を読んでいるか何かをしていてテレビの前にいることはなかったのですが、昨夜は久しぶりに見ることができました。
初めて名前を聞くような歌手もたくさんいましたが、連続50回出場している五木ひろしさんをはじめ、ベテランが随分と出場していることに驚きました。昔の伸びやかな歌声を記憶している自分には、最後まで聞き続けるのはちょっと辛いほどの声量の衰えを確認するのは残念でした。
見苦しいということはもちろんないのですが、一部の歌手の皆さんの歌声には、いささかの聞き苦しさを感じてしまいました。衰えることは致し方ありませんので、誰の責任でもありません。やはり主催者が、そうした点を考慮して人選を進めるべきです。若くて伸びしろのある歌手の皆さんを抜擢して日本中に知ってもらうことも大切な役割です。
無難ではあるかもしれませんが、大ベテランが若手の通り道を塞いでしまうような状況は、ひょっとすると今の日本の社会の象徴かもしれません。日本企業衰退の日本の縮図のようにも思えたほどです。
■1月1日の午前中、つまり元旦は、ニューイヤー実業団駅伝の観戦です。群馬県で行われる恒例の駅伝ですが、Takuが住むようになってからはより身近に感じられるようになりました。
先ほどまでテレビ観戦していたのですが、Takuから連絡があって家族3人で沿道で観戦した様子がテレビに映ったと知らせてくれました。もちろんそんなことには気づきませんでした。自分達はスマホで中継を見ていたのかもしれん。後でまた確認してみます。
